May 2026: A Worship Journey Across Europe

May 11, 20263 min read

Hello to all of our incredible friends and ministry partners!

As mentioned in our last newsletter, this season has been full of travel and opportunities to partner with both expected and even unexpected ministry connections. We are so grateful for how God continues to open doors and orchestrate each step along the way.

Ireland: Perfect Timing in Dublin

Ireland

Easter week was especially meaningful as we had the opportunity to come alongside the incredible team at Lighthouse Church Dublin at their newest campus.

What made this time even more special was how clearly God’s timing was at work. Two of their keyboard players were unexpectedly unable to serve due to the arrival of new babies, and it became evident that our presence there was not random; it was provision. We were able to step in, support the team, and serve during one of the most important weekends of the year.

Derry: Equipping & Building

From Dublin, we continued on to Derry, Northern Ireland, where we had the privilege of partnering with Hills Church to provide hands-on training and support.

Thanks to Crown Design Group for sending Matt, a skilled technical team member, to join us. His expertise was essential as we showed the church how to use and understand the existing equipment they had been given earlier, but had never been taught or guided in operating effectively.

During our time there, we provided practical, step-by-step training on their systems, led bass and piano workshops for musicians, and equipped the piano players with video resources to continue learning after our return home. We also participated in and helped guide rehearsals, building a meaningful connection with their lead.

Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Sweden:

Intros and Relationship Building

We loved our initial connections with District Church in Amsterdam and Freedom Church in Rotterdam, and we are excited to continue building those relationships in the future. We believe this is just the beginning of what God has in store there.

The two-day worship conference in Stockholm, Sweden, was the perfect way to end the trip, being fueled ourselves as well as supporting the large worship team from Saalem Church in Helsinki.

Why We Go

We are often asked why Advancing Worship travels to these locations, why not simply do this work virtually?

This trip gave us a clear and powerful answer.

So much of what we do goes beyond instruction; it’s about relationships, trust, and being present in the moment. Throughout this trip, we experienced firsthand how God uses in-person connection to open doors that could never be planned from a distance.

We made many new connections along the way, but one that stood out was Pedro, who is in the process of opening a music school in Brazil. Because of our current involvement in supporting the music school at Watoto in Uganda, this connection has already begun to open the door for an exciting new collaboration, and we're looking forward to seeing where it leads.

Moments like this are why we go.

What may seem like a simple trip often becomes something much greater: new partnerships, new opportunities, and new ways to invest in the global church.

Looking Ahead

This summer, we plan to spend an extended season in Finland. We will connect with Saalem Church in Helsinki and network at the ARC Conference Europe in Liverpool, England. In midsummer, we will be serving and teaching at a worship seminar in Geneva, Switzerland. Being based in Europe during the summer will also allow us to continue investing in the relationships we already have.

Prayer Focus

We ask you to continue partnering with us in prayer as we move into this next season.

  • Wisdom and discernment in choosing who God has for us to partner with next.

  • Continued financial support for the second half of the year.
